1. Resetting Your Password Using Instagram App

To reset your password using the Instagram app:

2. On the login screen, tap on “Forgot password?” or “Trouble logging in?”

3. Enter the email address, phone number, or username associated with your account.

4. Instagram will send you a password reset link.

5. Follow the link sent via email or SMS.

6. Create and confirm your new password.

7. Resetting Your Password via Web Browser

You can also reset your password through Instagram’s website.

1. Go to Instagram’s website: https://www.instagram.com

2. On the login screen, click on “Forgot password?”

3. Enter your email address, phone number, or username.

5. Create your new password.

6. For Facebook Login Users

If you linked your Instagram account with Facebook, you can reset your password using your Facebook account.

Instagram Password Reset Link Not Received

If you haven’t received the password reset link from Instagram, try the following steps:

If Your Email Account Is Inactive

If you suspect your Instagram account has been hacked, follow the steps provided by Instagram to recover your account.

1. Go to Instagram’s password reset page and request a reset link via email or phone number.

2. After resetting your password, enable two-factor authentication for added security.

Instagram Account Recovery (If Hacked)

If your account was hacked and you cannot change your password, follow these steps:

1. Go to Instagram’s password reset page.

2. Click on the “Having trouble logging in?” section.

3. Submit a form to Instagram informing them that you cannot log in with your email or phone number.

Instagram Two-Factor Authentication

To improve the security of your account, enable two-factor authentication.

You can enable it by going to Settings > Security > Two-Factor Authentication.

During the password reset, a security code will be sent, and you will only be able to log in using the code sent to your phone.
