Stop WhatsApp from Saving Photos Automatically
? For Android:

Stop Auto-Saving to Gallery:

Open WhatsApp.

Tap the three dots (⋮) in the top right > Settings > Chats.

Turn off “Media visibility.”

This prevents new media files from appearing in your Gallery.

Turn Off Auto-Download:

Go to Settings > Storage and data.

Tap each option: “When using mobile data,” “When connected on Wi-Fi,” and “When roaming.”

Uncheck “Photos” in all three.

? For iPhone:

Stop Saving to Photos App:

Open WhatsApp.

Go to Settings > Chats.

Turn off “Save to Camera Roll.”

Turn Off Auto-Download:

Go to Settings > Storage and data.

Under “Media auto-download,” disable “Photos” for Mobile Data, Wi-Fi, and Roaming.

Optional per-chat setting:

Open a chat > Tap contact name > Media visibility / Save to Camera Roll > Select “No.”
