How to Mirror Android Screen to TV?
You can use the following methods to mirror your Android device’s screen to a TV.
1. Wireless Mirroring via Wi-Fi (Screen Mirroring / Cast)
Requirements:
-
Android phone or tablet
-
Smart TV or casting device like Chromecast
-
Both devices connected to the same Wi-Fi network
Steps:
On TV:
-
Enable “Screen Mirroring,” “Miracast,” “Smart View,” or “Cast” feature on your TV. Usually found in the TV menu or remote control.
-
If your TV doesn’t have this feature, you can use Chromecast or a similar device.
On Android phone:
-
Swipe down the notification bar.
-
Find and tap “Smart View” (Samsung), “Cast,” or “Screen Mirroring” option.
-
Select your TV from the list.
-
Once connected, your phone screen will be mirrored on the TV.
2. Mirroring with Google Home App (If You Have Chromecast)
-
Download and open the Google Home app on your phone.
-
Make sure both devices are on the same Wi-Fi network.
-
Select your TV or Chromecast device in the app.
-
Tap “Cast Screen/Audio.”
-
Your phone screen will be mirrored to the TV.
3. Wired Method (Using HDMI Adapter)
-
If your TV and phone support it, use a USB-C to HDMI adapter.
-
Connect the adapter to your phone and the HDMI cable to your TV.
-
Switch your TV to the correct HDMI input.
-
Your phone screen will automatically be mirrored on the TV.
4. Mirroring with DLNA Apps
-
Install DLNA-supported apps like BubbleUPnP or AllCast on your phone.
-
Connect to the same Wi-Fi network as your TV or DLNA device.
-
Select media files (photos, videos) and send them to the TV.
-
Note: This method only streams media files, not full screen mirroring.
Tips:
-
Ensure your TV and phone are on the same Wi-Fi network.
-
A strong Wi-Fi signal helps prevent interruptions.
-
Some older TV models may not support wireless mirroring.
-
The mirroring option name may vary depending on your phone’s OS and brand/model.
