Step 1: Open Settings
Go to your Settings app.
✅ Step 2: Find System Update
Scroll down to System → System update (on Samsung it’s usually under Software update).
✅ Step 3: Check for Updates
Tap Check for update or Download and install.
If an update is available, your phone will show the download option.
✅ Step 4: Download and Install
Make sure you’re connected to Wi-Fi and have enough battery (preferably above 50%).
Tap Download and wait — it may take some time.
Once downloaded, tap Install. Your phone will restart.
💡 Things to Keep in Mind
Some updates roll out in phases, so you might get it a few days/weeks after the official release.
Older devices may stop receiving updates after a few years.
Make sure to back up your important data before a major update, just in case.
🔔 Automatic Updates
You can also turn on automatic updates:
Settings → System → Advanced → System update → Enable Auto-download over Wi-Fi.
