Stop WhatsApp from Saving Photos Automatically

📱 For Android:

1. Stop Auto-Saving to Gallery:

   • Open WhatsApp.

   • Tap the three dots (⋮) in the top right > Settings > Chats.

   • Turn off “Media visibility.”

   • This prevents new media files from appearing in your Gallery.

2. Turn Off Auto-Download:

   • Go to Settings > Storage and data.

   • Tap each option: “When using mobile data,” “When connected on Wi-Fi,” and “When roaming.”

   • Uncheck “Photos” in all three.

🍏 For iPhone:

1. Stop Saving to Photos App:

   • Open WhatsApp.

   • Go to Settings > Chats.

   • Turn off “Save to Camera Roll.”

2. Turn Off Auto-Download:

   • Go to Settings > Storage and data.

   • Under “Media auto-download,” disable “Photos” for Mobile Data, Wi-Fi, and Roaming.

Optional per-chat setting:

• Open a chat > Tap contact name > Media visibility / Save to Camera Roll > Select “No.”
