Android Device Manager (now known as Google Find My Device) is a free service by Google that helps you locate, lock, or erase your lost or stolen Android device remotely. If you misplace your phone, there’s no need to panic—this tool allows you to manage your device from afar.

📍 What Can You Do with Android Device Manager?

  • Locate the Device on a Map: You can view your device’s last known location on a map using GPS.

  • Play Sound: Even if your phone is on silent, it will ring loudly for 5 minutes.

  • Lock the Device: You can remotely lock the screen and display a custom message.

  • Erase the Device: You can remotely wipe all data and restore it to factory settings.

🔧 How to Use It?

  1. Go to google.com/android/find from another phone or computer.

  2. Sign in with your registered Google account.

  3. A list of devices with location and internet access enabled will appear.

  4. Select your device to ring, lock, or erase it.

⚠️ Requirements for Use

  • Your Google account must be linked to the device.

  • Location services must be enabled.

  • The device must be connected to the internet.

  • The device must be powered on (if it’s off, only the last known location is shown).
